Another Pinoy-Blood makes it into the Big-Time. With Coach Pat Riley stepping down and retiring from coaching, he announces that the new Head Coach will be 13 Year Miami Heat Associate and Assistant Coach Erik Spoelstra.
Here is the Story from Inquirer.net:
MANILA, Philippines—Filipino-American Erik Spoelstra has replaced Pat Riley as the new head coach of Miami Heat after the latter announced his resignation on Tuesday.
"I just want to let everybody know how excited and honored I am to be the next coach of the Miami Heat," said Spoelstra, who has worked for the club for the past 13 years. "I want to thank everybody for having the confidence in me to lead this team on the court and in the future."
Before he assumed his new post in the 2006 National Basketball Association champion team, the 35-year-old Spoelstra served as Riley’s assistant, training young players such as Dwyane Wade.
Spoelstra’s mother is a Filipino, the former Fe Celino of San Pablo City, and his father Jon is of Dutch-Irish origin.

I'll follow later for my favorites to win the competition.
Ramiele, you made the top 10, and you will be on tour with the group so we are happy and proud of you. Hindi na malayo ang mag-guest ka sa showbiz sa Pilipinas. Kung ganon, daan ka dito sa Guam para kantahan ako ha? ;)

America's Best Dance Crew the JabbaWockeez (w/ a couple of Pinoy Members)
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Pinoys are entertainers by heart, no matter where we are put on earth.
Anyway if you haven't yet heard, the JabbaWockeez won the MTV Contest / Show America's Best Dance Crew. From what I understand, a couple of the members of this group are Pinoys.
I've got a video for you so you can see what I'm talking about, Michael Jackson would be proud. Enjoy!

Pinay (Filipina) Ramiele Malubay Sings "Alone" on American Idol
Here is our kababayans latest showing on American Idol, she hit some high notes although they weren't perfect, she still hit them. They acknowledged that she was sick or she lost her voice or something so we should give her the benefit of the doubt.
At any rate, she did well, but she will have to prove herself this week to ensure that she breaks the top 5.
Keep voting for her because she is our only representative. =D
